A quiet walk with your dog along the pathway beside the lagoon in Kah Tai Lagoon Park is a great experience.
Kah Tai Lagoon Park is in Port Townsend, WA in Jefferson County on
the Quimper Peninsula. It is a very short walk from the
Keystone/Port Townsend ferry terminal. There is also free parking
nearby both at the park and the Safeway store.
This is an interpretive realism painting in oil. Long blue/ purple shadows of a late fall afternoon contrast with the light golden colors of the vegetation, poplar trees and deep greens/blues of the evergreens. Add a touch of red in the bushes and a blue sky in the background and this painting leaves a feeling of peace and tranquility. The small people and dog are dwarfed by the tall, slender poplars edging the path.
It is a small work that has an air of space which makes it look larger than it is.
Strong enough to stand alone, it will fit nicely into an arrangement
of works. Painted on gallery wrap canvas with the painting
continuing around the sides to the back edges, it can be hung with
or without a frame. It has a protective coating of artist's varnish.
Materials: Oil paints, gallery wrap canvas, artist’s varnish
Dimensions: 16" high by 12" wide
Weight:
2 ½ pounds
